Perryville, Mo., January 9, 2019 - The New Year started off just right for Perry County residents Micah Britt-Galster and Phillip Galster as they welcomed their newest addition to the family.

The Perry county couple celebrated the birth of their son, Emmett, who arrived at 9:13 a.m. on Monday, January 7th, the first baby born in 2019 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. “The interesting thing about the birth of Emmett here at PCMH is that I was born in this exact hospital 30 years ago as the New Year baby,” said mother Micah.  “Working with the PCMH team was a good experience, many of the staff are familiar with my family and they treated me like family.”

The newborn weighed in at 9 pounds 3 ounces and was 21 inches long.  Perry County Memorial Hospital is delighted to announce the first baby of 2019 as Dr. Theo Rogers with Perry County Women’s Care and Perryville Family Care Clinic was the delivering physician.
