Perry County Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Donates Life-Saving Device to Schools

In an effort to add safety and security to our schools, athletes and sporting events, Dr. Joseph B. Byrne with Perry County Orthopedics & Sports Medicine recently presented AED’s to some of our local schools.

Recently, the news has been reporting more student athletes experiencing cardiac issues during games.  Dr. Byrne is a fan of student athletes and thought the gesture would be a way to keep these athletes safer.

A luncheon was held during which the AED’s were presented to those present.  Dr. Byrne presented AED’s to Perryville High School, Immanuel Lutheran School, and Saxony Lutheran High School.  St. Vincent Schools were unable to be present, but received their unit later the same week.
