Reitzel Achieves Fellowship in the American College of Medical Practice Executives

Perryville, Missouri, January 29, 2019 — Stacey Reitzel, FACMPE, Associate VP Physician Services, Perry County Memorial Hospital (PCMH), has become a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE). ACMPE is the certification entity of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). Fellowship in ACMPE’s industry-leading program demonstrates mastery and expertise in the profession of medical practice management.

To achieve Fellowship, Reitzel first earned the Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) designation by passing rigorous examinations that assess knowledge of the broad scope of medical practice management, as outlined in the Body of Knowledge for Medical Practice Management. This includes business operations, financial management, human resources management, information management, organizational governance, patient care systems, quality management and risk management. In addition, Reitzel completed a minimum of 50 continuing education credit hours to achieve CMPE status.

Today, MGMA membership is comprised of more than 6,600 individuals who have attained CMPE or ACMPE Fellow status or who seek certification.

Within Perry County Memorial Hospital, Reitzel works closely with the medical staff including recruiting, retention and overall operations for the hospital’s many clinics and coordinating with visiting specialists in an effort to provide quality healthcare for Perry County residents. Reitzel has dedicated over 21 years of service to PCMH and has risen through the ranks filling various jobs within the rural healthcare clinics before finally taking on her current role as Associate Vice-President of Physician Services.
