PCMH Auxiliary Donates to Ambulance

Perry County Ambulance Service was gifted with new equipment from the PCMH Auxiliary.  They purchased a new ECG/Defibrillator/Pacemaker that will be utilized in the ambulances.  This new equipment comes with lifesaving defibrillation, pacemaker capabilities, and the ability to transmit electrocardiograms to the receiving hospital. Additional features are blood pressure monitoring, capnography (used for all intubated patients), pulse oximetry, and carbon monoxide detection.

The ECG/defibrillator that was previously being used was donated to the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Department to be utilized on their emergency crash cart.  The PCMH Auxiliary raises funds for these purchases throughout the year with their various fundraisers like bake sales, jewelry sales, and sales featuring sheets, scrubs, shoes, etc.  For more information on joining the PCMH Auxiliary, contact Shearry at 768-3488.
